Gaze out through a missing wall 13 storeys high as the doors inexplicably open and close to reveal the hotel grounds. No matter which horror haunts your experience, one thing is certain – you’ll shriek in terror as the elevator freefalls down the abandoned shaft before unexpectedly changing direction and launching back up the hotel. Have you been transported to another dimension? But then, following a flash of lightning and some ghostly goings on, your reflection eerily fades, leaving an elevator containing not one living soul. You can clearly see your reflection in the ornate mirror that sits across the hallway. Beckoning for you to join them, the spooky spectres dematerialise and your skyward journey continues.Īs you ascend the 13 floors, your elevator shudders to a halt and the doors creakily part. Seated in the elevator, launch upward in darkness until the corroded doors unlock to expose a lengthy hallway inhabited by the otherworldly hotel inhabitants from 1939. Enter the rickety lift and strap yourself in, light bulbs spookily flickering on and off above you. As lightning illuminates the darkened room, a nearby television set springs to life and Rod Serling welcomes you on a journey into the Twilight Zone.įrom a secret passage, trudge into the shadowy confines of the dilapidated boiler room, home to rattling machinery and your vessel into the 5th dimension: the service elevator. At The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, venture under the iron-wrought iron gates of the abandoned abode and step inside a dusty lobby, seemingly frozen in time.Įdge into a dark library with strange artifacts. Paris' Tower is a clone of California's, and while Tokyo's looks cool, it doesn't seem quite as good as this Tower.Tour the infamous Hollywood Tower Hotel, the one-time haunt of Tinseltown's rich and famous until a mysterious incident forced it to close in 1939. This is the best Tower of Terror that I've ridden and I'm assuming is the best one of all. Eventually, it just turns off, and you turn around and go to the exit. Then when it's all over, you see a hypno spiral and see a door, the haunted family, a clock and an eyeball all fall into it as it gets smaller and smaller. But the great thing about Florida's is that there are four different drop settings!!! =) One of them is the California Program, one of them is really awesome and shoots you up first like a space shot, and I forget the other two. Then we get back in the dark and hear some more narration, then our drop sequence begins. We begin to move foreward as we go through the 5th Dimension! Take that California!! And then all of a sudden, a door out of nowhere opens up for us and we hear creepy music, clocks, and little girls singing. Then it gets all dark, and the narration starts. You just keep your faith in that window, then all of a sudden, it shatters. After the haunted family is struck by lightning, the hallway turns into space, but instead of dropping, the haunted family just fades into thin air. We first head up and see the haunted family in the hallway, only without any narration, so it's cooler that way. Then the doors open, and to our joy, there's no hallway! We then board the car, fasten the seatbelt, and we're off. About 5 to 10 minutes later, you're standing in front of the elevator doors, waiting to board. There, you will see a Twilight Zone Special on the Tower of Terror. Then a cast member will assign you into the library. The hotel lobby looks very well done and has a spooky theme to it. So when you're waiting in line for it, it at least looks really nice. When you walk up to it, the first thing you notice is the gardens that surround it. We're here at the Disney World Resort where we'll reveiwing Tower of Terror. Tower of Terror (Walt Disney World Resort) Review - Incrediblecoasters
